My favorite Wagon Station spot so far. Everyone staying in the encampment two seasons ago helped hoist wagon stations #10 and #11 up the hill to these sheltered clearings made by our friend @danjohnanderson (Dan also made the trails leading up to the sites – which entailed some heroic moments of boulder wrangling)

Another one of our "Test Weavings" by Jennifer Morris @mjennifermorris – This one is available at @bkbceramics in downtown Joshua Tree. ——–The Test Weavings are hand-woven in the weaving studio here at A-Z West, and are being sold to help support communal resources in the studio, as well as our local creative community who uses them. Each Test Weaving is produced according to the simple dictate that the design must contain a visually identifiable black letter “T” (T for test).

Final prep for the season is opening up the communal research-library/hangout wagon station (one of the original units customized by Jonas Hauptman) – Jonas designed the lid to swing down, as opposed to up, so it can be used as steps and seating.
