The rain is supposed to be over for the next few days – but I've been keeping a suspicious eye on those storm clouds, trying to figure out if I need to go replace all the rain baffles that blew off the wagon stations in the storm last night. #desertrelaxationisjustafantasy

Visiting Judy's farm with my students last May – most of the goats were saved the fire, but they need shelter from the winter, which is much colder at this higher altitude. #flashback

We spent yesterday helping to clean up after the fire at Judy's farm – everything burned to the ground on the coldest night of the year including the house and barn. They couldn't put the fire out because the pipes from the well had frozen. Judy is in her 70s and one of the original pioneers who settled what is still a very remote part of the high desert. This is an area that is off the grid in a way that doesn't compare to more populated areas of the lower desert. Her neighbors are helping her rebuild and have set up a fundraising site to raise funds for materials: https://www.gofundme.com/judysfirerescue

My feed seems to be full of photos of dirt these days. Just to mix it up here's something from the fall show at Andrea Rosen Gallery. #parallelplanarpanel
