Leah, who stayed in the AZ West encampment last year, is back from Vancouver to help produce shade structures for the Wagon Stations – more shade and more privacy. Yes! We try to pull off at least one big improvement a year – though 2014 has been sort of a boom year with new composting toilet houses, two new wagon stations and now new shades.
can never have enough kokbragd…
Figuring out the tie ups for kokbragd is on the list too.
Really need to try this tie-and-dye weft.
Emmett (who is in the fifth grade) brought this home from school today: We are looking for a few good children who want to join our ranks as Young Marines. They will not be handed the title, bu they can train hard and earn the title… Bet they don't hand these out in elementary schools in LA or New York.
I heart Kelly… Check out her new studio shoes. (More utility mermaid.)
Still flat on my back keeping sprained knee elevated, not getting enough done in studio (making me crazy) – fortunately the next HDTS book club selection finally arrived. First chapter gets intimate with Michael Heizer and his impossible to access sculpture called "city" in the Nevada desert.
A really good Saturday with Lior – scouting locations out at Iron Age Road for his project with HDTS next spring. Happy birthday Lior!
Fell down hill while trying to carry a too big rock down crumbly granite boulder and wearing totally wrong shoes. Did something really bad to my knee. (Damnit!!) thank you Tara for the cold pack and Epsom salts.
