A-Z Clocks
1994
The A-Z Clocks, which would later evolve into a series of works about time, suggest the appearance of a standard wall clock, however, the clock’s face divides time into unconventional segments. The durations include 2 hours (a task clock), 4 hours (a clock for the hours before and after work), 8 hours (a clock for the single work day), 24 hours (a clock for a full day) and 169 hours (a clock for a full week). Since any of these categories could start at any time, the clocks also dispense with the typical starting times of noon and midnight.
