A-Z Sorting Trays

Overwhelmed by the accessories of daily life, from cell phone chargers and cables, to keys, notebooks, hair bands and tape measurers, Zittel designed A-Z Sorting Trays to aestheticize and compartmentalize the myriad of objects consuming her space. Covering each cluttered surface in her home with paper, Zittel traced the objects that had previously covered these surfaces, making fourteen different trays. Cut from 2” thick Finland Birch and ranging in size from 8 1/2” by 5” to 32” by 22 1/2” there are trays for the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, the bedroom, the bath, the closet, the office and even the A-Z Escape Vehicle.
