Lights at A-Z West

2012

Zittel’s home at A-Z West is an original homestead cabin which was built more like a shed than a typical house. The ceilings are low and it was difficult to find lighting that hung close to the ceiling, so Zittel designed simple lights for each room. The lighting for the living room was inspired by hanging wagon wheel lamps of mid-century kitsch, while the lights in other rooms repeat various geometric motifs found in both the tiles and weavings at A-Z West.
