Ottoman Furniture Gouaches

These are gouache studies of A-Z Ottoman Furniture. The A-Z Ottomans were produced in groupings of 12; each one had an upholstered cushioned top and storage cubicle on the bottom.

These works served most all furniture needs at A-Z East during it's earliest iteration, creating a bed, living room area and a seating for working at a desk. All of Zittel’s clothing, blankets, linens and supplies were stored in their bases which were labeled with library labels in order to find items quickly.
