The Bodily Experience of a Physical Impracticality
2010
The Bodily Experience of a Physical Impracticality is a large scale textile work that spans the entirety of the gallery, forcing the incoming viewer to move either over or under it in order to access the exhibition. In this case the ‘impracticality’ is the work itself. Zittel offers this experience in order to highlight the physical embodied aspect of our bodies in a space that is typically attuned to the eye.
